About Mae & Maple

My name is Tash and I am the face behind Mae & Maple. Some of you may know me as Tasha Mae, the wedding co-ordinator. My job as a wedding co-ordinator is to ensure my couples big days are stress free ensuring all the little jobs are done and everything runs smoothly. Quite often one of those jobs is to put out last minute decor and it was from doing this that my lightbulb moment struck…

With so many props needed to create the right ambience and style for each wedding or event it dawned on me that I could help even more by offering unique quality props and decor items. I felt that by offering this service I could help ease even more pressure for those planning a wedding or event which is exactly what Tasha Mae and Mae & Maple are all about.

Believing strongly in sustainability and supporting other small businesses I was excited to meet and work with an independent and extremely talented craftsman. Just what I was looking for to help launch Mae & Maple. I am proud to be able to say that my handmade wooden props are bespoke and handcrafted especially for Mae & Maple, meaning you won’t find them on the high street!

All of my other little treasures for hire are either rescued, recycled or upcycled from Aladdin’s Caves I have come across, such as brocantes, vintage fairs, charity and antique shops, or have been handmade by small independent businesses. 

I also love to be crafty, so if I can handcraft something beautiful myself using leftover materials…I will!
